Long term sponsor signs up for another season
This week we are delighted to announce that long term sponsors Actual removals will again be advertising with the Raiders. Actual removals have been a fixture for several years on the team jerseys, player helmets and a rink side board and clearly they find some benefit from the long running relationship.
All change between the pipes
Romford Raiders have declared an ‘all change’ netminder policy with the capture of two highly regarded goalies who are expected to create genuine competition for the starter’s slot.
Euan King joins the Raiders from treble-winning Peterborough Phantoms. Now 20 years old but an English international since the age of 13 and a GB junior cap, King has spent his whole career at Bretton but sees this as a great opportunity to further develop his profile and establish himself as a natural starter.
New Romford Raiders Website
Welcome to the new Romford Raiders website. As everything has happened so quickly, it is still very limited in the information available, but we will be adding everything you could need to know, over the next few weeks.
Please bear with us, as we get the site fully functional.

Whilst we are sure you are all out enjoying the arrival of the summer, barbeque smoking and beer in hand, excuse us whilst we drag you back to the PC for a quick update. It will be worth the interruption.
Hot on the heels of the front line trio Danny McCotton, Raiders are delighted to announce the capture of another player with “treble” connections. A key part of last years treble winning Peterborough team, Andy Munroe will this year be pulling on the Gold and Blue and we are thrilled about it.
Phillips moves on
Amongst all the recent highs it is inevitable that we would have to suffer some lows. That came with the confirmation last night that Romford Junior system product Billy Phillips would be patrolling another blue line next season.
A Romford spokesman explained. "Billy had a great season for us last year and the title of prospect must now be dropped. He has arrived and put in some great performances. That had lead him to be an integral part of the plans of the former management team and the current one".

Cant touch this.....it's Hammer time again
The new Romford Raiders’ organisation announced its first appointment today when Jesse Hammill was confirmed as Head Coach for the 2009/10 season. “Jesse Hammill is a man of principle and we’ve been grateful for that over the past couple of weeks,” said a Raiders’ spokesman. “We knew Jesse’s first choice was to return to Romford but we also knew that he had been made very attractive rival offers and, with Romford senior hockey in doubt right until the last minute, there was always a chance that we’d run out of time.
Romford Raiders Are Back On The Ice
Following successful contract discussions between owners Venturecore and John Scott, both parties are delighted to announce that the Romford Raiders will take to the ice again to contest the English Premier Ice Hockey League. John stepped up at the last minute following a report in the Romford Recorder that Venturecore director Phil Jinks was inviting interested parties to contact him.
