Get the bunting out, there's a home-coming on the horizon

The Raiders are delighted to announce that we have signed not one, but two "Romford Boys" who will play in this weekend's double header vs Sheffield Scimitars.

Charlie Kaylor came through the Romford Junior System, and then spent four years at Notre Dame, where no doubt he passed on his Romford learned skills to the coaches and players. Charlie returned to the UK just before the start of this season, and was eagerly signed up by the astute Peter Russel. Charlie has been back-up to an in form Greg Rockman in Slough and Romford's situation is ideal for him to get some quality ice time. It's a win / win situation, but most of all we are delighted that Romford has "one of our own" back in town.

With Andy Munroe advising of his intention to leave, the management had no hesitation in responding to the interests of David Oliver. David impressed many during 2007-2008 and under Rob Stewart his game progressed and earned him man of the match awards. David left early the following season however and went on to play with Invicta in the ENL1 this season. Another player to progress through the Romford Junior System the tall defender is a very welcome addition to the pre-deadline signings.

The Raiders would like to thank both the Slough and Invicta organisations for their co-operation in these transfers.
